Our Connectedness:  our Purpose and Foundations

Founded in 2006 by Greg Deuble, Frank Selch and Paul Herring, we are a growing group of 'truth seekers' who meet every 3 months for a one-day seminar involving presentations from various Christian scholars and authors.

Our aim is to promote Abrahamic faith in the one true and living God, faith in His only begotten Son, Messiah Jesus, and in the coming, literal, Kingdom of God (Isaiah 11; Isaiah 65:17-25).
1 Cor 8:6:”For there is one God, the Father from whom all came and for whom we live, and one Master Jesus, the Messiah, through whom all came and through whom we live.”
1 Tim 2:5:”For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Messiah Jesus.”
We affirm the Sh’ma (Shema) of Israel (Deut 6:4-9), understanding it in the same way as the Hebrews; as also did Jesus (Yeshua), the Galilean, from Nazareth. (Mark 12:29; Luke 10:27)
We believe that we are to love our Heavenly Father with our whole being, in every aspect of our lives. In our actions we affirm that “...the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in Holy Spirit. (Rom 14:17 Darby)
Our unity comes from the indwelling Spirit of God.
Romans 15:5-7: “And the God of endurance and encouragement give you to be of the same mind toward one another, according to Messiah Jesus, that with one mind and one mouth, you might praise the God and Father of our Master Jesus Messiah. So accept one another, as Messiah also did accept us, to the esteem of God.“
We hold dear the mission statement of Jesus, expressed in Luke 4:43 and Mark 1:38 that his purpose was to announce the good news of the Kingdom of God. We therefore also hold dear his call to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…” (Matt 6:33)
Although non-conformists in regard to some aspects of orthodox Christianity, we invite all sincere seekers of biblical truth to fellowship with us without fear of rejection or undue restriction.
We are sensitive in any discussion of differences, in the spirit of our Saviour’s Sermon on the Mount. We affirm the inspired analogy of Paul the apostle that believers are “one body” with differing gifts, the members of which rely on one another for support.
Romans 12: 4-5 “For as we have many members in one body, but all members do not have the same function, so we, the many, are one body in Messiah, and members each one of one another.”
We seek restoration of Biblical Faith through the full counsel of our Father, through searching the Scriptures afresh, being aware of serious translation errors, which do not convey Biblical truth, but instead the theological position of the early translators.
We desire to be of one mind and purpose (John 17:11, 21-23) with all who call upon the name of Jesus, just as our Messiah and Father are one in mind and purpose (John 10:30).
As servants of the Most High God we seek to walk in the faith of Jesus and to teach and encourage others to do likewise. We call upon all Christians to adopt the manner of the Bereans (Acts17:11); not to be content with second-hand knowledge and church pronouncements; but to actively and thoroughly search of the Scriptures and seek truth.
As Gentiles, we affirm our indebtedness to our ‘elder brothers’ the Jewish people, and acknowledge the cultivated Olive Tree into which we have been grafted (Romans 11), being aware that the ‘root’ bears the branches, and that Israel’s Deliverer, the Messiah, will in due time restore ‘Jacob’.
We believe that we are God’s ‘adopted children’, being grafted into the faith of Abraham through Messiah Jesus, and therefore spiritual descendants of Abraham by faith, alongside the natural seed of Jacob. We are part of the Redeemed awaiting the consummation!
Practical Applications:
At this stage, the practical outworking of our shared love of the Creator of the Universe and His Messiah, His only begotten Son; we meet every three months for shared teaching, discussion and fellowship.
As a practical approach to reaching out to our community we seek to address the ‘signs of our times’ that illustrate that we are now experiencing the ‘birth pangs’ of the end.
“While people are saying, "There is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labour pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape” (1 Thess 5:3)
